We have a lot of work to do…mainly working on photos and the journal for this trip and dealing with items for future travel. We rarely left the room except to go out for meals.
We have a lovely bungalow overlooking the water and the lush grounds of the resort.
The resort sits on quite a slope but it is lush, green and well cared for.
This lady is sweeping leaves (seems they use brooms instead of rakes).
Two nights we had entertainment by the pool…three Indian dancers and a duo playing standard American pop songs. With an interesting Indian accent.
We did make it down to the beach for a short walk. The beach is very pretty with palm trees, blue skies and blue water.
However, the water is very rough here, the red warning flag was out the entire time we were here. So we have seen no one swimming at the beach while we have been here. But it was a pretty walk.
The yoga center overlooks the beach. We were up early enough one morning (a bathroom break) and saw people out doing their yoga. We didn't join them.
Paul is beside himself with the outdoor bathroom.
One night he found a slug but wasn’t able to get the thing out the door. Plus, we have a mosquito repellant gadget in the wall and mosquito netting on the bed. And every night this sweet guy comes around, puts some pellets in his brazier and swings it around the bedroom and the outdoor bathroom…stinking it up pretty bad. Seems silly to go to all that trouble to drive off mosquitos and have an outdoor bathroom.
The sunsets were ok...the palm trees helped enhance the beauty.
And it is lovely here at night.
Our last day is technically April 12. Unfortunately, we have a ridiculously early flight and we are getting picked up at 12:45 AM on the 12th. Neither of us even bothered to go to bed. The pickup will take us to the Trivandrum airport for our flight to Dubai. From there we will be flying to Athens where we will be boarding our next Crystal cruise…Athens to Athens.
